We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in web application development and a deep understanding of the Django framework.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building robust, scalable applications using Python and Django.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • API Management: Implement and manage APIs to connect the web applications with third-party services and databases.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications.
  • Optimization: Optimize applications for speed and efficiency, while maintaining security protocols.
  • Tech Staying Current: Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices in Django and web development.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in web development using Python and Django.
  • Front-end Technologies: Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • RESTful APIs: Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating them with Django applications.
  • Databases: Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM technologies.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Cloud Services: Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
