Job Title: Financial Management Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience working in the travel industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including sales, receipts, invoices, and payments. Ensure that all airline ticketing, hotel bookings, tours, and other travel services-related transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to provide insights into revenue streams, expenses, and profitability by business segment.
  • Generate regular management reports highlighting key performance indicators, such as revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
Financial Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, withholding tax, sales tax, and other applicable regulations to avoid any financial penalties or legal issues.
  • Coordinate with auditors for annual audits to ensure the company's financial transparency and accuracy.
  • Implement robust internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and unauthorized transactions.
Cash & Bank Management
  • Manage company bank accounts and perform daily reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and make informed decisions about investments and expenses.
  • Oversee payments to suppliers, including airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other service providers.
Cost & Revenue Management
  • Track revenue from different travel products, such as tickets, tours, packages, and visas, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze costs and recommend efficiency improvements to reduce expenses and increase profitability.
  • Support pricing strategies by providing financial analysis and recommendations to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
Coordination & Support
  • Liaise with operational staff and travel consultants to ensure accurate financial data and support business decisions.
  • Work closely with management on business strategy and investment decisions to drive growth and profitability.
  • Support external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities, as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial software.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems, and MS Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
