Senior Security Risk Assessment Specialist/ IT Auditor

We are currently seeking an experienced security risk assessment specialist/IT auditor to work on a major project requiring immediate start and expected duration of at least six months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of application development and enhancement projects to ensure successful implementation of security deliverables in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Schedule review meetings with project managers to discuss project progress, identify potential security risks, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Review project documentation and designs to identify potential security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Produce high-quality summary reports for each project meeting departmental standards and requirements.
  • Provide regular status reports on assigned projects highlighting key findings, recommendations, and next steps.
Job Requirements

A minimum of three years of experience in information security, IT risk management administration, or consulting with a focus on application risk assessment and evaluation programs is required.

  1. Active participation in application risk assessment or evaluation programs for application development including identification and mitigation of security risks is essential.
  2. Professional certification as a CISSP and/or CISM is highly desirable demonstrating expertise in information security and risk management.
  3. Experience with web vulnerability scanning tools like WebInspect or Watchfire's App Scan is an advantage enabling effective identification and mitigation of security risks.
  4. Strong relationship management skills with ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
  5. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accurate and timely completion of work attention to detail and effective prioritization of tasks.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
