Job Description:

The Production Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, compliant, and meet quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage production schedules, allocate resources, and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning and Management:
    • Plan and oversee production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
    • Allocate resources (manpower, materials, equipment) effectively for optimal production efficiency.
  2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure all production activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
    • Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
  3. Operational Supervision:
    • Supervise daily operations of production teams and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
    • Provide training and guidance to production staff to enhance productivity and technical skills.
  4. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
    • Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory levels.
  5. Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance production workflows.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement strategies.
  6. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of production equipment.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address technical issues and minimize downtime.
  7. Regulatory and Documentation:
    • Prepare and maintain detailed production reports, batch records, and other required documentation for audits and inspections.
    • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  8. Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with R&D, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to support product development and launch activities.
    • Act as liaison between production and management to align goals and communicate updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 5–10 years in a production role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software and ERP systems.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
