This position plays a leading role in designing and developing major functional changes to existing software systems or new ones, involving oneself and other engineers.

The selected individual will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, stack traces, etc. to pinpoint specific problems and resolve them.

Key responsibilities include proposing and creating best practices proactively where none exist, providing guidance on design, coding, and operational best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and overseeing their designs, code quality, and integration into the team.

The successful candidate will be judged on their productivity and the positive impact they have on the engineers around them.

The role requires proficiency in Java or other JVM languages with 5-8 years of total experience, as well as expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Familiarity with distributed systems challenges, micro-service-based architectures, asynchronous communication (e.g., using gRPC and Kafka), and practical knowledge of persistence and caching solutions such as PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Caffeine is also essential.
