Job Summary

The Area Manager Modern Trade role is responsible for leading field relations with key accounts and partnering effectively with Assistant Key Account Managers to ensure effective and efficient distribution operations to deliver sales KPIs / targets across accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategic plans and initiatives to drive volume delivery and sustainable growth in the area
  2. Monitor daily/weekly business performance to inform decision-making
  3. Increase distribution of Unilever brands and SKUs through targeted sales efforts
  4. Achieve KPIs related to Intelligent Quantum and Field Capability Score on a monthly basis
  5. Manage stock levels and ensure secondary CCFOT is met as per given targets
  6. Ensure the quality of sales and distribution operations
  7. Implement new initiatives and category-specific plans to drive business growth
  8. Increase direct coverage versus relevant universe
  9. Achieve perfect store and all visibility initiatives KPIs
  10. Ensure customer financial requirements and profitability (ROI)
  11. Train and develop Territory Managers to enhance their skills and knowledge
  12. Effectively allocate resources to drive business results
  13. Optimize the use of IT tools to streamline operations
  14. Customize distribution models as needed to meet business objectives
  15. Manage territory and outlet operations to drive business growth
  16. Implement joint business plans and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance
  17. Provide feedback and suggestions on competitor activities
  18. Ensure adherence to best practices in warehousing and FIFO at both distributor and trade levels
  19. Ensure distributor operations and processes are safe and comply with Unilever safety policies and principles
