Agricultural Specialist for Climate Resilient Livestock and Crop Management

The role of an Agricultural Specialist for Climate Resilient Livestock and Crop Management involves working with communities to establish and operate Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) sites in designated districts.

• Establish FFS and CSA sites, including conducting field assessments and social mobilization activities to engage local communities.
• Participate in capacity-building events and training programs to enhance facilitation skills, farmer training curricula, and monitoring methods.
• Support the introduction and establishment of CSA initiatives in target areas, including facilitating the Training of Farmer Facilitators (ToFF).
• Monitor and document project activities, including data entry into a database to support Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Team.
• Collaborate with district team leads and sectoral specialists to collect and compile information related to FFS/LFFS/CSA.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience in FFS relevant work. Additionally, you should have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have good command of spoken and written Sindhi and local languages, with the ability to work in challenging environments. They should also have flexibility and adaptability when faced with difficult working conditions, such as long-distance walking to work/distribution sites.
