Data Engineer/Delivery Lead Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data analytics platforms and possess extensive experience with tools such as data factories, synapses, and big data processing technologies.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, leveraging big data processing and analytics tools, and developing and optimizing data models and architectures.

The successful candidate will also lead and mentor teams of data engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, and implement and maintain data security and compliance measures.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, proficiency in data factories, synapses, and big data processing tools, and strong leadership and communication skills are required.

  • Design and Develop Scalable Data Pipelines: Utilize data factory tools to create efficient and reliable data pipelines that meet business requirements.
  • Leverage Big Data Processing Technologies: Employ Apache Spark or Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
  • Develop and Optimize Data Models: Create and refine data models and architectures for data warehousing and business intelligence using Power BI and other analytics tools.
  • Lead and Mentor Teams: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure project success and lead by example.
