Compliance Specialist

The role of a Compliance Specialist is pivotal in ensuring that organizations adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines. In this capacity, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and regulations across all levels of business operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Sanction Screening: Conduct thorough screenings to identify any sanctioned or blacklisted entities, thereby preventing any potential risks to the organization.
• Risk Assessment: Analyze potential risks associated with business strategies and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks.
• Transaction Monitoring: Regularly monitor transactions to detect any suspicious activities, reporting and escalating unusual or potentially illegal transactions as necessary.
• Developing and Implementing Compliance Programs: Create, maintain, and update compliance programs to ensure that the organization remains up-to-date with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Internal Controls: Establish sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them, guaranteeing that remote operations do not compromise compliance standards.
• Drafting and Revising Company Policies: Regularly review and update company policies to reflect current compliance standards and best practices.
• Auditing and Review: Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify areas of improvement, even in a remote setting.
• Training: Develop and conduct compliance training sessions for staff members, ensuring they are well-informed of regulations and best practices.
• Proposal Preparation: Draft and prepare comprehensive proposals for compliance projects or initiatives, guaranteeing they meet organizational needs and standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure compliance across all facets of the organization.
• Crisis Management: Develop plans to manage crises or compliance violations, ensuring swift resolution and minimal damage.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes in the regulatory environment and industry best practices, ensuring that compliance measures remain current.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Compliance Consultant or Compliance Officer.
• At Least Two Years: At least two years of prior experience in consulting or compliance-related tasks.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical Mindset: An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• Remote Work: Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Digital Tools: Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position, requiring a reliable internet connection, personal computer, and a suitable workspace free from distractions.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; first and third Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
