The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in business intelligence and data analysis, with experience in developing and implementing plans to improve business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, enhance, and maintain Framework Manager models to support business requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Cognos dashboards, scorecards, reports, and queries based on user requirements.
  • Develop, support, and monitor the Data Warehouse using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL).
  • Collaborate with power users of the reporting tool to advise on best practices for the best use of BI.
  • Manage reporting to ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness and completeness requirements.
  • Tune databases used for reporting to optimize performance.
  • Write efficient SQL and stored procedures against database tables on various platforms for data validation.
  • Profile and analyze data during report development.
  • Install, upgrade, configure, and administer BI products/patches/upgrades to the environment.

Proficiency in Cognos BI product suite (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, etc.) is essential. Experience with Oracle Report Builder is also required. Performance tuning expertise related to reporting queries is necessary. Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for success in this role.

A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered.
