Quality Control Leadership

This role is responsible for developing, directing, and providing leadership for the implementation and continuous improvement of analytical quality systems, processes, and records. The Quality Control Lead ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements and works closely with the site management team to make these systems consistent, practical, and cost-effective.

About the Role
  • Lead the Quality Control team in producing precise, accurate, and timely test and calibration data, acting as a technical expert and maintaining accurate and functional quality records on QC expectations for plant personnel.
  • Conduct out-of-specification investigations, maintain records, and monitor OOS trends, driving continuous improvements by applying scientific methodology and statistical analysis tools to support recommendations for process improvements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication: Work with operations and quality assurance to understand current demands on laboratory services, direct the operation of the plant QC team to ensure timely and proper release of products based on effective sampling, accurate testing, and up-to-date SAP data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality & Data Analysis - Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in test results and laboratory operations.
  • Innovation and Development - Identify areas for improvement, develop and implement new procedures, and review existing systems to drive continuous progress.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Communications - Foster strong relationships with operations, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective decision-making.

About You
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Food Technology.
  • You have 8 years of experience in the food or pharma industry, with a background in chemical laboratory work.
  • You possess exceptional communication skills, are well-organized, detail-oriented, and have strong leadership abilities.
  • You are proactive, creative, and have a strong will to succeed, with demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and knowledge of good laboratory practices.
  • You excel in interpersonal skills, working effectively in a team environment, building consensus, and fostering relationships at multiple organizational levels and across functions.
