Android Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Application Developer to join our team at PK-Studio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative Android Application solutions using the latest tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Android development, a deep understanding of Android tools, frameworks, and experience working in a fast-paced development environment collaborating cross-functionally across teams to deliver successful projects.

Job Specification
  • Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing high-quality apps for the Android ecosystem
  • Creating robust tests for code to ensure performance and reliability
  • Fixing known bugs in existing Android applications and adding new features
  • Working with external software libraries and APIs
  • Collaborating with designers to turn design templates into working apps
Qualifications and Skill Sets
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Solid understanding of common programming tools and paradigms such as version control, use of MVVM frameworks, and common design patterns
  • Proficiency with Android Studio and Android SDK tools
  • Excellent knowledge of the Java and Kotlin programming languages
  • Familiarity with mobile applications and development, including the use of hardware such as accelerometers, cameras, and gyroscopes
  • Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team and with code written by others, including bug fixing and refactoring legacy code
  • Excellent communication skills
