Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced software architect to lead the development of a highly competitive web and mobile application.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for porting/migrating an existing web application, designing and developing mobile applications, developing detailed software design and document requirements, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, bug-fixing, and providing support for web and mobile applications, creating comprehensive technical documentation, coordinating with higher management, logging project information daily, filing reports, and being on-call for consultations, and developing end-user documentation and training materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Porting/Migrating Web Application:
    • Update the application to current industry standards from design and SRA to development, support, modification/changes, and documentation.
    • Export all data from the old application to the new one.
  • Designing and Developing Mobile Applications:
    • Create accompanying mobile apps to the web application.
    • Decide whether to use a cross-platform approach or develop native platform-specific applications.
  • Developing Detailed Software Design and Document Requirements:
    • Conduct an SRA and document technical specifications in detail.
  • Deploying, Maintaining, Troubleshooting, Bug-Fixing, and Providing Support:
    • Provide support for web and mobile applications.
  • Creating Comprehensive Technical Documentation:
    • Create ERDs, database relations, and step-by-step explanations of the code.
  • Coordinating with Higher Management:
    • Log project information daily.
    • Filing reports.
    • Be on-call for consultations.
  • Developing End-User Documentation and Training Materials:
    • Develop screencasts and step-by-step tutorials.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • Excellent development and architecture skills.
  • Experience in databases, database design, database optimization, and creating/maintaining ERDs.
  • Extensive experience in developing on a single stack and deployment environment.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle best practices, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM.
  • Familiarity with dependency/package managers, templating engines, and ORM.
  • Experience in the MVC architectural pattern and software testing.
  • Familiarity with version control/source control systems and platforms.
  • Solid technical documentation skills.
