Job Title: Business Relationship Development Specialist

Foster and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by overseeing the SME lending portfolio, identifying market opportunities to generate new business, and ensuring timely loan processing.

  1. Identify and acquire new clients requiring financial solutions.
  2. Conduct thorough needs assessments of clients and develop comprehensive credit proposals based on their repayment potential.
  3. Collaborate with risk and credit administration teams to ensure seamless compliance with company policies during the credit proposal approval process.
  4. Maintain robust relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and prompt response to inquiries.
  5. Support senior management in presenting credit proposals at management and board levels.
  6. Work closely with internal teams such as Risk, CAD, and Product Development to ensure smooth loan processing and service delivery.
  7. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all client documentation, including mortgage and legal formalities.
  8. Monitor the performance of assigned portfolios, identify potential risks or problematic accounts early, and provide effective solutions.
  9. Assist in expanding the business in assigned territories by acquiring new clients and ensuring existing clients remain onboard.
  10. Maintain up-to-date records through regular reporting and MIS management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional business development and client management skills.
  • Strong understanding of SME and microfinance sector trends and requirements.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and assess cash-flow-based repayment capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and management information systems (MIS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.

  • Up to 3 years of experience in the commercial/SME banking industry.
