Job Title: Male Nurse

The Role:

  • This position is responsible for providing first aid to the workforce and staff in the event of occupational injuries or illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing First Aid: The successful candidate will be able to provide first aid for cuts, burns, swelling, dislocations/fractures, cardiac issues, and vital sign variations.
  • Screening and Isolation: The nurse will be responsible for regular screening and isolation of plant workforce for contagious illnesses and injuries.
  • Health and Safety Reporting: The nurse will maintain a health and safety report log and ensure compliance with medical screening and first aid SOPs.
  • Personal Hygiene: The nurse will ensure that the workforce maintains personal hygiene standards.
  • Verification and Medical Certificates: If an employee is unfit for work due to a medical condition, the nurse will verify their status or request a medical certificate from a competent authority.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The nurse will ensure compliance with regulatory body protocols during factory visits.
  • First Aid Inventory: The nurse will maintain up-to-date records of first aid inventory according to expiration dates.
  • Facility Maintenance: The nurse will maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the first aid room facility.
  • Training and Awareness: The nurse will train staff/workforce on basic first aid and health awareness.
  • Prohibited Eating Policies: The nurse will monitor the workforce for prohibited eating policies in coordination with ER as part of food safety compliance.
  • Liaison with Hospitals: The nurse will have strong liaison with hospitals for emergency handling (patient shifting).
  • Evaluation and Improvement: The nurse will evaluate the current emergency handling system for injuries/illnesses and suggest improvements.
  • Annual Screening: The nurse will ensure annual screening of the workforce for required medical tests by regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in reputed hospitals/industries.
  • Diploma in Post Basic Cardiac Care Nursing.
  • Diploma in General Nursing (3 years).
