Software Development Expert

About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience with various technologies. They will work independently and collaboratively on complex projects, leveraging their expertise in Go and Java to build high-quality software.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop High-Quality Software Applications: Use Go and Java to develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications.
  2. Design Database Solutions: Implement efficient database solutions leveraging relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  3. Work with Cloud Services: Collaborate with cloud services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
  4. Solve Complex Problems: Identify potential risks in projects, effectively debug and resolve software issues, and participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions.
  5. Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Improve Processes: Contribute to improving team processes and suggest improvements to development workflows.
  7. Write Unit Tests: Ensure code quality and reliability by writing unit and integration tests.

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 3-5 years of professional software development experience, with experience in Go and Java.
  3. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  4. Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  5. Familiarity with AWS services.
  6. Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  7. Experience with Git version control systems.
  8. Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  10. Agile development methodologies experience a plus.
