Job Description

As a mental health professional, you will provide psychosocial support services, individual and group counselling, and psychotherapy to clients with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deliver evidence-based psychological services to clients and their families, addressing mental health conditions and psychosocial concerns.
  2. Engage in clinical supervision and work collaboratively with other service providers as part of a mental health case management team.
  3. Support the delivery of training programs for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice and case management.
  4. Develop personalized care plans that are mutually developed with clients.
  5. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Conduct risk assessments and advise staff on carrying out risk assessments and developing safety plans.
  7. Stay up-to-date with evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology.
  8. Maintain proficiency in professional development opportunities.
  9. Perform other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.
  10. Promote Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) through community-based activities.
Required Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in psychology or equivalent qualification is essential.
  2. Experience working with NGOs is preferred.
  3. At least 3 years' experience in mental health is required.
  4. Proficiency in at least one psychotherapy technique is mandatory.
  5. Knowledge of human rights, particularly regarding individuals with mental health and psychosocial concerns, is desirable.
  6. Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  8. Ability to work under pressure in low-resource contexts is essential.
  9. Capacity to work effectively in multicultural environments is necessary.
  10. Interest in ongoing learning and professional development is expected.
  11. Fluency in Arabic and English languages is essential.
  12. Experience working with refugees and/or non-governmental organizations is highly valued.
