Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a seasoned Java developer, you will be responsible for owning certain parts of our products, managing small or larger teams, contributing to design, and overseeing implementation.

You should be passionate about software engineering, modeling the world, and thinking in terms of design patterns, object-oriented design, functional programming, and test-driven development. Experience working in agile teams delivering incremental improvements through continuous delivery pipelines is essential.

  • Provide solutions to problems within your functional areas.
  • Own features and drive them to delivery end-to-end.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code (primarily in Java).
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and debug high-volume, low-latency, high-performance, and highly available applications.
  2. Develop APIs using object-oriented design within an agile methodology (e.g., Scrum).
  3. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  4. Work with TypeScript and NodeJS.
  5. Collaborate with mentors and demonstrate continuous progress in your career development.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
  3. Expertise in Java Platform and related technologies.
  4. Experience with static code analysis and linting tools.
  5. Comprehensive automated testing experience.
  6. Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
  7. Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
  8. Proficiency with Git.
  9. Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB.
  10. Good understanding of web technologies.
  11. Ability to work independently, self-driven.
  12. Passion for quality, design, and aesthetics.
  13. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
