Expert Consultant, Microbiology

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant to lead our microbiology team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratories and be able to demonstrate leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SOPs, guidelines, and policies to ensure high-quality testing
  • Ensure internal and external quality control of all tests
  • Supervise junior medical staff, including assessment of performance and documentation
  • Acquire knowledge of advanced laboratory theory, techniques, and testing related to microbiology
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A postgraduate degree (FCPS/PhD) in a relevant field
  • At least one year of post-fellowship experience in a specialty subject
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and make decisions
