Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming and a keen understanding of data integration and management.


About the Role

This is a remote full-time position responsible for designing, building, testing, optimizing and maintaining infrastructure and code required for data integration, storage, processing, pipelines and analytics. The successful candidate will be able to lead technical projects with minimal oversight, have excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and possess strong leadership skills with a willingness to create ideas and be assertive.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement highly scalable and efficient data architectures.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, quality and performance of data systems.
  • Mentor junior/mid-level data engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Scientists and Analysts to understand data requirements and develop data solutions.

Requirements:
  • Full-time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years real-world data engineering development experience in AWS and GCP.
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark and AWS in an Agile environment.
  • Senior person who can understand requirements and design end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala and proficient in writing efficient and optimized code.
  • Good understanding of SDLC tools and technologies, including project management software, source code management, CI/CD system and binary repository manager.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Modeling and Database Design Principles.
