Senior Backend Developer Role

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend JavaScript Developer to lead and collaborate with team members in enhancing current back-end applications and processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze existing codebases, stay updated with industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain applications using JavaScript and Node.js.
  2. Manage and execute activities throughout the complete development cycle.
  3. Architect, plan, and deliver new features.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Developers, QA, Designers, and Data Scientists.
  5. Understand asynchronous programming and its quirks, implementing workarounds as needed.
  6. Work with database systems such as MongoDB and MySQL.
  7. Use version control tools like Git proficiently.
  8. Develop and consume REST and GraphQL APIs.
  9. Adhere to software development standards.
  10. Debug, optimize, and improve application performance.
  11. Utilize TypeScript in development processes.
  12. Work with Docker for containerization.
  13. Develop and integrate Web Services.
  14. Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Requirements and Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  2. At least 4 years of experience as a Node.js (Express) or JavaScript developer.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and tasks efficiently.
