Backend Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Backend Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in server-side programming, database management, and API integrations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and server-side logic.
  • Performance Optimisation: Optimize system performance to ensure seamless functionality and scalability.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Data Management: Implement robust data storage solutions, ensuring security and data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve back-end issues in a timely manner.
  • Code Quality: Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and ease of collaboration.
Key Requirements and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in back-end development.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Node.js, PHP, and Laravel framework.
  • Frontend Technologies: Experience with frontend technologies, especially ReactJS will be a plus.
  • Databases and Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, web development frameworks, databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Version Control and Problem-Shire Solution: Understanding of version control tools like Git and strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

  • Frontend Development: Proficient in frontend technologies and frameworks, enabling seamless integration with backend systems and user-centric design.
  • CICD Pipelines and DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and improve delivery speed and reliability, as well as a strong understanding of DevOps practices.
  • Testing Frameworks and Automated Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks and automated testing methodologies to ensure high code quality and robust software performance.
