Backend Developer Role Overview:

Professionals in this position design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services. They work closely with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure automation, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and monitoring/alerting systems.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Expertise in AI-assisted coding and managing AI agents is required.
  • Developing and implementing infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and monitoring/alerting pipelines is a critical responsibility.
  • Collaboration with Field Engineering teams is necessary to support proof-of-concepts and platform deployments in customer environments.
  • Deploying, scaling, and optimizing machine learning/natural language processing workloads is essential.
  • Leadership in initiatives to improve system reliability, scalability, and developer experience is expected.
  • Contributing to architecture and infrastructure decisions as the company scales its platform.
  • Advocating best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps culture across the team.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on backend systems.
  • Deep understanding of computing environments (GCP, AWS, Onprem, or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
  • Experience supporting machine learning workloads in production.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Airflow).
  • Proficiency in languages like Go, Python, or Java; expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).
