Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of web-based services. This role requires a strong vision for delivering innovative solutions, leading technology teams, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning to achieve business objectives by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of web-based services.
  • Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering services, including web application frameworks and deployment stacks.
  • Identify opportunities and risks for delivering services as a web-based business, including competitive services, innovation opportunities, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles.
  • Collaborate with founders to drive technology strategy and make informed decisions about product development and infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in leading and managing technology teams, preferably in commercial software development.
  • Strong understanding of PHP programming language and its applications.
  • Familiarity with management system concepts and practices for SaaS products in public cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with open source solutions and their implementation.
  • Knowledge of data security, secure coding, encryption, multi-tenancy, scalability, and high availability.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Post-Agile development environments.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address real-world business challenges.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Familiarity with organizational development philosophies and approaches for building high-functioning teams.
