Job Overview:

The Quality Control Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve defects, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze Requirements: Collaborate with business analysts, team leads, and product managers to understand product requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
  2. Develop and Execute Test Cases: Design, write, and execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality, document results, and compare with expected outcomes.
  3. Evaluate Functionality: Conduct thorough testing from multiple angles, applying creative thinking to identify potential defects and areas for improvement.
  4. Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve bugs/issues reported through support tickets, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Participate in Daily Team Meetings: Engage in daily team meetings to discuss progress, share knowledge, and align on priorities.
  6. Update Task Status in Project Management Tools: Utilize project management tools to track and update task status, ensuring seamless collaboration with development teams.
  7. Gain Domain Expertise: Develop in-depth understanding of application domains and technologies to inform testing strategies and defect resolution.
  8. Improve Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, suggesting new techniques and concepts to enhance quality standards and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in QA or related field.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Understanding: Strong comprehension of SDLC and QA processes.
  • Test Case Expertise: Proven ability to write and execute test cases with exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in agile/scrum development environments, with knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
  • Technical Competencies: Familiarity with API testing tools, database testing, SQL queries, performance testing methodologies, and security testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automated Testing Experience: Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Large-Scale Product Experience: Proven experience working on large-scale, enterprise-grade products.
