About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Back-End Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and smart contracts that support our diverse portfolio of DeFi products.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with front-end developers, smart contract engineers, and Product Owners to create reliable, scalable, and secure blockchain-based solutions. They will have technical expertise in DeFi protocols, smart contract development, and blockchain infrastructure, as well as strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving system performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs to support product features and functionality.
  • Design cloud-based solutions focusing on high availability, scalability, and reliability on AWS.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers, front-end developers, and smart contract developers to build seamless and efficient solutions for game teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, ensuring the smooth operation and performance of systems, addressing bugs, and optimizing performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback to peers, and contribute to the establishment and improvement of best practices across the team.
  • Continuously improve the codebase through refactoring, optimization, and adopting modern practices to ensure high performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of backend systems through proactive analysis and alerting.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in backend development, cloud architecture, and related technologies and apply them to enhance our systems.
