Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a degree from a national or international university/institute accredited by HEC in Engineering, ICT, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.

They should have demonstrated experience of at least ten years, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role, in the ICT sector or funding organization with managing research & innovation, fund management or nurturing startup ecosystem experience.

The candidate must also qualify Fit and Proper criteria for appointment as Chief Executive of a Public Sector Company as defined in the State-Owned Enterprise Act 2023, and applicable rules, guidelines, and procedures including competence capability, personal and financial integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills for working with senior academicians and industry leaders
  2. Excellent communication skills to interact with senior government officials, political leaders, and stakeholders
  3. Demonstrated experience in providing vision, leading and managing multiple teams, and delivering concrete and measurable results in a demanding corporate environment
  4. Demonstrated experience in evaluating and applying emerging technologies in solving problems of society
  5. Experience of industry or academia in R&D, technology-based entrepreneurship, innovation, incubation, investment/funding, commercialization or building the overall innovation ecosystem
