Librarian Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Librarian to fill this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the library's collection and cataloging system, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Provide expert research assistance and instruction to students, faculty, and staff, promoting academic success.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance literacy and information skills, fostering a culture of learning.
  • Maintain precise records of library materials, including circulation, acquisition, and inventory, guaranteeing efficient operations.
  • Ensure the security and organization of the library's physical and digital collections, preserving valuable resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, with a strong foundation in librarianship principles.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian or equivalent position, demonstrating expertise and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and service delivery.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative and managing priorities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with library software and systems, streamlining workflow and improving efficiency.
  • Knowledge of online databases and research tools, enhancing research capabilities and supporting academic excellence.
  • Experience in academic librarianship, with a deep understanding of educational contexts and student needs.
