Job Summary
- Manage the preparation and distribution of the company's payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing, including wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions, maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Prepare and distribute payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees. Maintain accurate records, including employee changes and tax withholdings.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, preparing and filing tax forms accurately and on time.
- Systems Management: Oversee the payroll system, collaborating with IT or external vendors to resolve technical issues and recommend system upgrades for improved efficiency.
- Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms, addressing payroll discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement, reconciling payroll accounts with the finance team.
- 4-7 years of experience in US Payroll, with proven experience in developing and managing payroll shared services in a large, complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and best practices, combined with excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
