As a Automation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimize system performance, and minimize downtime.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
  • Provide training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Document all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
  • Prepare progress and root cause analysis reports.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automation as a PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning, preferably in Water and Wastewater projects, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructure.
  • Experience working with various PLC platforms and RTUs like Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, WinCC SCADA, WinCC OA SCADA, and TBOX RTU.
  • Experience working with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3, etc.
  • Familiarity with control panel wiring and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems, i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings, and troubleshoot wiring issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UPDA holder.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Preference for an international driving license.
