The role of an Assistant Manager, Blood Bank Clinical Laboratory requires strong leadership and technical expertise to oversee the daily operations of a clinical laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the technical and administrative activities of the assigned section, ensuring smooth operations and timely reporting.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities among staff members, maintaining a balanced workload and duty rota.
- Maintain departmental staffing matters, including attendance, discipline, and counseling, to ensure compliance with institutional policies.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and product development to improve patient care by introducing new tests.
A Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or equivalent is required, along with 8-10 years of relevant experience or comparable supervisory experience within the institution. The ideal candidate should have thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, be up-to-date with the latest developments in Medical Technology, and possess good employee relations techniques and administrative capabilities.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Science (4 years Program) or MSc.
- 8-10 years of related experience or 3-4 years of comparable supervisory experience within AKU.
- Thorough knowledge of Laboratory testing procedures.
- Knowledge of latest developments in Medical Technology field.
- Good knowledge of employee relations techniques.
