Professor/Academic Leader of Microbiology/Pathology

Job Description:
  • Facilitate the Head of Department in managing and supervising clinical and academic activities of the department, ensuring quality education to students and health services to patients.
  • Assign and delegate duties to Senior Registrars and Registrar staff for smooth functioning of the department.
  • Manage, supervise, and train PGs, MOs, HOs, and other paramedical staff.
Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical skills to MBBS/BDS students.
  2. Facilitate Postgraduate trainees with clinical presentations, small group discussions, and case-based teaching.
  3. Assist Head of Department/Professor in organizing CPC/clinical meetings and conferences.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate faculty members and Postgraduate trainees in research and development.
  5. Convey knowledge on patient care problems, including emergency treatment and management of emergencies.
  6. Assist and facilitate Head of Department in conducting examinations of MBBS/BDS.
  7. Ensure regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and manage/supervise new patients.
  8. Ensure regular clinical rounds of the ward to manage/supervise indoor patients.
  9. Conduct medical procedures under senior consultants' supervision.
  10. Provide specialist advice on medical problems.
  11. Assess patients in the emergency department if required.
  12. Ensure on-call commitments after duty hours.
  13. Assist Head of Department/Professor in departmental confidential inquiries.
  14. Manage, supervise, and train staff to ensure delivery of quality health services.
  15. Prepare and monitor duty rota of the department.
  16. Maintain liaison with hospital administration to ensure proper ward management.
