Theatre Technician

The role of a theatre technician is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This individual plays a crucial part in receiving and identifying patients, guaranteeing proper takeover of patient files, and completing per-operative documentation.

• Receiving and identifying patients for surgical procedures
• Ensuring proper takeover of patient files in the Operating Room
• Completing per-operative documentation related to patient surgery
• Removing and labeling specimens during surgery
• Scrubbing for designated cases with competence in different areas
• Assisting in safe patient transportation before and after surgery
• Reporting equipment issues for rectification
• Coordinating with schedulers for smooth OR operations

• Matriculation with pre-medical background and Intermediate in any discipline
• Diploma in OT Technician from a reputable institution
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• Understanding of basic anatomy/physiology and OR terminologies
• Ability to identify surgical instruments and understand sterilization/disinfection procedures
• Good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
• Willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations
