Job Description

A leading institution seeks a highly skilled Information Security Manager to oversee the implementation of information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable privacy and identity theft laws and regulations such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.

The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of ISO-27001 security controls and information security management system (ISMS). Key responsibilities include monitoring security trends, driving security best practices throughout the organization, investigating security breaches when they occur, and ongoing evaluation and recommendation of counter measures against threats to information or privacy globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain ISO 27001 information security management system (ISMS)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy and identity theft laws and regulations
  • Monitor security trends and drive security best practices throughout the organization
  • Investigate security breaches and recommend counter measures
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in IT and Information Security Management
  • Possession of standard certifications including CISSP, CISM, CISA is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Information Security and technology standards including but not limited to ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, HIPAA etc.
Desirable Skills
  • Mastery of threat protection strategies including firewalls, patching, anti-virus, log monitoring, data backup, disaster recovery, etc.
  • Ability to perform information security risk assessments and identify information security weaknesses and/or gaps in the current operations
  • Effective administration of incident response planning and investigation processes of security breaches globally
  • Business Continuity Planning, IT Disaster Recovery, auditing, and risk management experience is highly valued
