Job Title: Field Service Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as a Field Service Professional. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our customers across various industries.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years or more of experience in repairing electronic items, with a good understanding of computers and software. Strong technical sales experience in related items is also highly desirable.

The Field Service Professional will be responsible for installation, demonstrations, pre-installation surveys, follow-up, and recovering outstanding payments, along with other service-related tasks. A good knowledge of component-level repair and understanding of software is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of instruments
  • Performing troubleshooting, service, and repairs on-site
  • Offering technical support to customers at their location
  • Providing on-site training to customers
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams including field applications, customer support, product management, manufacturing, and marketing/sales
  • Developing service technical documentation
  • Creating and maintaining service information in the company database
  • Handling field service calls professionally and promptly, with triage as needed
  • Completing and submitting all required paperwork timely
  • Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Applied Physics, or Chemistry preferred
  • Own motorcycle and laptop required
  • 4-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance of instruments or sales of similar instruments
  • Pleasant personality, ability to learn, and teamwork skills
  • Experience in service and maintenance of analytical sciences or medical capital equipment; experience with spectrometers, HPLC, or analytical instruments is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot electrical analog and digital circuits is essential
