Job Title: Procurement and Distribution Leader

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Distribution Leader to join our team at Merchem Pakistan Private Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement and distribution, from sourcing to shipping.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sourcing Materials: Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet changing product demand levels.
  2. Coordinating Interdepartmental Activities: Coordinates interdepartmental activities to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
  3. Freight Management: Works with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set the best route and rates; reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements.
  4. Inventory Control: Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
  5. ERP System Utilization: Supports proper utilization of ERP systems.
  6. Operations Reporting: Member of the operations staff, responsible for routinely reporting on department SOPs with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement and distribution management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships with people worldwide.
