At Aga Khan University Hospital, we strive to provide access to healthcare services through our Outreach Services. These services include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health, and other vital support systems. Our goal is to offer primary to secondary healthcare services to patients in their communities, promoting health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance of all electrical installations, electrical systems, and equipment under the instructions of the electrical supervisor. This includes ensuring safe and efficient operations to minimize breakdowns.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing and maintaining equipment like Low Transformer and High Transformer switch gear under the guidance of the supervisor.
  • Assisting the supervisor with operational maintenance of electrical installations during shift duty.
  • Monitoring voltage and currents of different electrical systems for operational reliability.
  • Recording maintenance work requests, including time and material consumed.
  • Logging required information in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system on job activity to maintain history and other relevant data.
Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Matriculation or Intermediate level qualification.
  • At least six years of relevant work experience and an Electric Wireman license.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment, such as MCC (Motor Control Centre) panel and PCC (Power Control Center) panel, power distribution systems, lighting systems, audio-visual equipment, fire alarm system, and nurse-call system.
  • Extensive knowledge about plant preventive maintenance systems.
  • Good communication skills with command over the English language.
  • Ability to effectively work independently as well as in teams and perform shift duties.
