As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and deploying scalable services that utilize Large Language Models (LLMs). You will be responsible for integrating cutting-edge LLM workflows, including prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG pipelines, with providers like OpenAI or custom models. Your expertise in async Python patterns and strong typing discipline will ensure the development of high-throughput APIs and micro-services using FastAPI.

You will also design scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using ECS/EKS, Lambda, ElasticCache, S3, and DynamoDB. Additionally, you will implement observability for AI and API services through structured logging, tracing, latency/cost dashboards, and guardrails. To automate blue-green or canary deployments, you will use containerised CI/CD pipelines such as GitHubActions or ArgoCD.

Collaborating closely with product teams, you will translate experimental AI-related proofs-of-concept into production-ready features. To achieve this, you will leverage your mastery of cloud-native, horizontally scalable systems on AWS and solid grounding in DevOps practices, including IaC, automated testing, security scanning, and performance profiling.
