We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of IT Database Administrator. This position requires a strong background in database management, design and implementation.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Database Development: Develop, test and implement complex physical database designs to ensure proper structure, security and operation of databases that support business applications.
  2. Database Management: Manage the availability of databases for business applications, including managing and monitoring backups, restore and recovery of databases.
  3. Disaster Recovery: Manage and perform disaster recovery operations of databases, developing and coordinating procedures and guidelines for the protection of data sources.
  4. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of all databases by utilizing different tuning techniques, developing and implementing data administration policy, standards and models.
  5. Capacity Planning: Plan and manage the capacity of Oracle & MSSQL database servers by analyzing their rate of growth, providing timely support to business teams in routine based operations.
  6. Test Environment Creation: Create test environments/instances of databases as per business requirement, fine-tuning, establishing and initiating database recovery activities, backup, installation, version upgrade and patching of databases.

The ideal candidate will possess a Masters / Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in database support.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, adequate knowledge of relevant areas and industry dynamics. They will have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
