Job Overview

Design Solutions for Automation Projects

This role involves centralizing the design, optimization, and proposal of control system solutions tailored to customer requests and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will work on high-impact projects across various industries like oil and gas, utilities, and energy, shaping automation outcomes that prioritize performance, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review RFQs to ensure design solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of PLC/DCS-based control systems (Rockwell/Schneider/Emerson) and SCADA systems' requirements.
  • Estimate and develop proposals for brown field jobs as an additional advantage.
  • Perform effort estimation for engineering, construction, and testing works and develop project execution plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide sales support for compliance with key proposals against received RFQs.
  • Coordinate and follow up on proposals related to sales teams.
  • Support the team in taking multiple quotes from new and existing vendors.
  • Develop standard procedures and possess good writing skills to produce high-level execution philosophies, project plans, design procedures, and commercial terms & conditions for customer understanding.
  • Propose and design optimal control system architectures with in-depth knowledge of network protocols and design.
  • Ensure quality of product solutions as defined.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of work experience in engineering or technical sales is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in field instrumentation selections and designing cost-optimized solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in site work and estimation of construction scope for installation of control system solutions as an advantage.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keenness in business development and negotiation skills with vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
