**Role Summary:** Academic Instructor

Main Accountabilities
  • Achieve annual performance objectives set by the department head.
  • Contribute to creating a high-quality teaching environment for students by meeting university-set targets.
  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with faculty workload policies.
  • Continuously develop and improve own teaching techniques and contribute to teaching program development.
  • Implement engaging and effective teaching methods that facilitate experiential learning.
  • Encourage critical thinking, debate, and rational discourse among students.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements as necessary.
  • Evaluate, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work and examinations.
  • Accurately maintain student academic performance records for internal evaluation purposes.
  • Mentor 15-20 students through the Riphah Mentoring Program.
  • Keep data up-to-date in virtual learning environments and required software systems.
  • Integrate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices and participate in departmental committee activities as required.
  • E nsure teaching content and methods are aligned with university mission and respond to subordinate and student needs.
  • Regularly check student attendance in classes, labs, and practicals.
  • Contribute to scholarly publications and disseminate research findings through various media channels.
  • Pursue practical applications of research outcomes.
  • Engage in independent research and lead projects as principal investigator.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to team members or PhD students as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the department head.
