Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to lead our team as a Head Nurse in Nursing Services. This is a challenging role that requires excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing management and be able to oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. They will also be responsible for managing staffing schedules, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working on quality projects to improve unit core processes.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled nurse manager who can provide exceptional leadership and guidance to our nursing staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing 24/7 staffing schedules to ensure quality and safe patient care
  • Exhibiting excellent management in executing quality patient care and ensuring timely completion of physician rounds
  • Regularly meeting with patients and their families to resolve complaints and issues relating to care
  • Collaborating with support service departments to ensure quality care and meet requirements of patients
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams on quality projects to improve unit core processes
  • Establishing and monitoring unit-based standards, goals, objectives and priorities
  • Encouraging creativity, initiative and innovativeness in nursing staff and mentoring nursing workforce for provision of good services and staff development
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school, preferably a Master's degree in the same field, and a valid license from the relevant nursing council
  • At least four years of relevant experience, of which at least two years of experience should be at a nursing management level
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation, and Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
  • Willingness to work in shift duties (mornings and evenings)
