About the Role

This is a senior data engineering position that involves designing, building, testing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure and code for integration, storage, processing, pipelines, and analytics from ingestion to consumption.


We are looking for an experienced professional who can quickly ramp up, contribute right away, and lead the work in Data & Analytics with minimal oversight.



Responsibilities
  • Develop highly scalable and efficient data architectures, defining and maintaining standards and best practices for data management.
  • Mentor junior/mid-level data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve data integration, processing, and analysis.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of real-world data engineering development experience in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, with strong expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, and related technologies.
  • A senior person who can understand requirements and design end-to-end solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) tools and technologies, including project management software, source code management, continuous integration and delivery systems, and binary repository managers.


Key Skills
  • Cloud computing in AWS, including deep knowledge of various AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Lake Formation, EC2, EMR, ECS/ECR, IAM, CloudWatch.
  • Data warehousing solutions in AWS with Redshift, ELT/ETL processes, batch and real-time, using open-source solutions.
  • Apache Airflow, Looker, and LookML.
  • DevOps principles, tools, and technologies, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, configuration management, automated testing, performance tuning, cost management, and optimization.
