About This Role

We are looking for an experienced developer to lead the backend development of our systems.

This role involves architecting secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that support global transactions, user account management, compliance, and real-time processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of backend services and APIs using PHP frameworks.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable architectures for transaction processing and wallet services.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs (payment gateways, compliance services, FX providers).
  • Implement secure authentication systems, user access controls, and audit trails.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and data accuracy in high-volume environments.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring of junior developers.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in PHP development with a strong focus on Laravel.
  • Proven experience developing platforms in the FinTech domain.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API development, OAuth2/JWT authentication, and API security.
  • Strong database skills with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and normalization.
  • Experience working with message queues, job scheduling, and event-driven architectures.
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements, encryption protocols, and financial trends.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and Agile development practices.
