Senior Video Editor and Animator

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in video editing and animation, with a modern and trend-aware portfolio showcasing reels, social-first content, animation, and green screen work.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, and executing original video content across various formats, including vertical, landscape, square, and interactive video.

In addition to video editing and animation skills, you will need to have a deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, and sound design. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field.

Responsibilities

1. Conceptualize, script, and execute original video content across formats, including vertical, landscape, square, and interactive video.

2. Edit raw footage into polished videos using the latest techniques, including short-form reels, AI-enhanced edits, brand videos, and marketing content.

3. Design and implement motion graphics, VFX, and animated elements using tools like Adobe After Effects, Blender, and Runway ML.

4. Create green screen content with expert-level chroma keying, compositing, and seamless integration of background assets.

5. Optimize videos with sound design, voiceovers, and royalty-free music, ensuring clear, dynamic, and engaging audio.

6. Export content in multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 16:9, 1:1) and tailor edits to meet platform-specific requirements.

7. Use AI-powered platforms for time-saving automation and visual experimentation.

8. Collaborate with internal teams—designers, marketers, and copywriters—to deliver unified campaigns.

9. Stay updated with digital trends, editing aesthetics, and performance-driven storytelling techniques.

10. Manage multiple projects efficiently in a deadline-driven, fast-paced creative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Animation, Digital Media, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with portfolio).
• Proven experience as a video editor/animator of 2-3 years of experience. Should have a modern, trend-aware portfolio showcasing reels, social-first content, animation, and green screen work.
• Proficiency in: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder; DaVinci Resolve (color grading, editing); CapCut Pro (for fast social-first edits); Blender (3D motion design); Runway ML / Pika / Descript / Adobe Sensei (for AI-driven editing).
• Deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, and sound design.
• Experience in interactive and shoppable video formats is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for creating engaging visual content that performs.

Preferred Extras

• Familiarity with interactive video platforms (e.g., Wirewax, Vimeo OTT).
• Ability to experiment with AI-generated visuals or text-to-video platforms.
