Optimize financial resources and mitigate risk as a key member of the Treasury team.

As a Senior Manager Money Market (MM) Settlements, you will oversee daily operations within the Back Office, ensuring compliance with State Bank guidelines and industry best practices. Your role involves authorizing deals, collaborating with the departmental strategy, and maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures.

  • Manage overall PRISM operations, including TMS/X, ensuring connectivity with the SBP system and coordinating with SBP/IT teams for necessary updates.
  • Update the SBP balance and RTGS inflows/outflows in the treasury blotter and share it with the front office.
  • Verify that funds transfer instructions received from the front office are processed promptly and that funds are credited according to agreed terms.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze market-based TROPS-related developments and assess the feasibility of implementing them at the bank.
  2. Liaise directly with the State Bank to address regulatory concerns related to RTGS and IT department functions, including SBP system upgrades.
  3. Manage all operational data for respective risk entities and report it to ORMU monthly for assessment.
  4. Conduct Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) exercises according to bank procedures.
  5. Continuously monitor and report the bank’s operational risk exposure, losses, near-miss events, and KRI breaches to ORMU.
Risk Management Strategy
The Senior Manager Money Market (MM) Settlements will develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy to ensure the bank's operational risk exposure is minimized. This includes monitoring and reporting on losses, near-miss events, and KRI breaches to ORMU. Additionally, the role involves conducting RCSA and KRI exercises according to bank procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

A degree in Finance, Economics, or Commerce / MBA Finance / ACCA / CFA is required for this role.


Experience

At least 7-10 years of experience in the Treasury department of a Bank/FI is required.
