Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to government counterparts, NGOs, and UN system partners on HIV-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to develop and implement HIV prevention programs at national and international levels.
  • Support the development of strategic plans and proposals for HIV-related programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and establish partnerships for HIV programming.
  • Contribute to the preparation of communication and information materials for HIV programming.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in medicine, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in public health programming, planning, and management.
  • Proven experience in HIV/AIDS programming, particularly in areas such as PMTCT, pediatric HIV care, and community-based HIV programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with UNICEF policies, strategies, and best practices on HIV-related issues.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Health Specialist UNICEF Sindh to develop, manage, and monitor HIV-related activities. The primary focus will be on supporting the follow-up of all activities related to the outbreak in Larkana Districts, with frequent visits to the field. The incumbent may also be required to support other field offices in the area of HIV programming.
