Job Summary:

A Protection Specialist is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff. This role requires a high level of alertness and awareness, honesty, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter potential security threats.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular patrols of university buildings and grounds, monitoring for signs of suspicious activity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with members of the university community, providing support and guidance as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless security operations and effective incident response.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., criminology, law enforcement).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be physically fit and able to perform duties that require standing, walking, and lifting.
