Accounts Receivable Specialist

This role involves overseeing the accounts receivable function within our organization. Key responsibilities include generating accurate and timely invoices, monitoring payments, and following up on overdue accounts to secure timely payment.

A critical component of this position is maintaining strong relationships with our customers through effective communication and negotiation skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team is also essential for success in this role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately generate and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and track incoming payments, ensuring correct recording in our accounting system.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts via phone, email, or other communication methods.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain aging reports, providing updates on outstanding receivables.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes or payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to accounts receivable.
  • Support in the preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) as needed.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance / Bachelor of Science in Accounts & Finance (with 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related fields).
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or credit control.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective follow-ups.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
