Job Title: Restaurant Cashier/Host

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic team member to join our front-of-house team as a Host/Cashier. As the face of our restaurant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and managing the register.

Your primary responsibility will be to welcome customers, take orders at the counter, and ensure all orders are delivered promptly. You will also be responsible for processing payments, handling cash and credit card transactions, and managing the register accurately.

In addition to your financial responsibilities, you will also act as the host of the restaurant, making reservations for customers and ensuring that they have an enjoyable dining experience. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and take orders at the counter
  • Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database
  • Ensure all orders are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Accept cash and process credit card transactions
  • Manage the register and ensure accurate change
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues
  • Make reservations for customers
  • Act as the host of the restaurant

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time efficiently. Basic math skills and attention to detail are also essential for accurately managing the register and handling cash transactions.
